Melbourne Small Business Copywriter
Hola, I'm Inoshi.
Melbourne-based copywriter,
stationery junkie,
will stop to greet every doggie I meet.
I lost my balloons.
Metaphorically speaking.
Somewhere between building a corporate career and being "perfect", I forgot 'me'. A whole bunch of soul-searching, second-guessing, restarts and travel (remember those days?) later, I realised the obvious. That there's nothing wrong with being human - emotional, raw, sometimes flawed yet always real.
Ya, I know, duh! I bet you can relate, though. Who hasn't felt the pressure to be infallible?
But while perfection gets you admirers, it's the human factor, the realness, that builds connections.
And if you want to sound human, you've got to bring your personality to the party. Because, when people vibe with you, they'll want to stick around, hear what you have to say, buy what you're selling.
That's what I do.
I inject your flavour, your brand and your story into your copy, so:
-
your content genuinely roars with your voice,
-
your readers have that "you get me" feeling (hello relatability, hello connection, hello conversion).
Because one thing's certain. Neither you nor your ideal customer get all hot and bothered over dull, instruction-manual style copy. So let's ditch the blah for something way more delicious —
Personality-driven copy, bursting with your brand of yum!
When I'm not playing with balloons and confetti
Or whipping up copy...
-
I'm falling down some random-knowledge rabbit hole (I recently stumbled upon ferrofluid)
-
exploring a new hobby (so far, I've played with photography, molecular gastronomy, chocolate making...the list goes on)
-
getting my binge on (Netflix or books, I alternate)
-
using puppy pics to subliminally convince my fiancé, Clive, to get me a doggo (apparently I'm not responsible enough 🙄)
-
desperately trying to bring my recent plant back to life (mmm, maybe Clive has a point).
"But, Inoshi," I can hear you say, "my personality's kinda lame. And I want my business to sound cooler."
Firstly, how dare you?!?! Let's get one thing clear. Whether you're as flashy and loud as a peacock (seriously, have you heard them?) or as low-key as the colour grey, your personality is rockin'.
It takes all sorts to make up the world, and it's the same in business.
Even if your brand's identity is entirely different to yours (although in my experience, there's usually an overlap), we can make it work. What's important is to breathe life into your content, so your audience hangs on every word.
